These Terms & Conditions (hereafter, the “Terms”) apply to the Ultra Trail of Singapore (“UTSG”) and related events organised by Mountain Goat Running Group (“The Organiser”).
By taking part in UTSG, each participant agrees to these Terms, the separate Indemnity Form, and any official race rules, event guide, safety notices, mandatory gear requirements, and instructions issued by the Organiser from time to time. These Terms also apply, to the extent relevant, to any contractors, volunteers, staff, crew, officials, service providers, and other persons engaged by or working with the Organiser in connection with the event(s), whether directly or through a third party, and such persons must comply with all applicable Organiser instructions, safety requirements, confidentiality obligations, and media/privacy requirements.
In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between these Terms and any registration form, Indemnity Form, Parental Consent Form, race guide, or official instruction issued by the Organiser, the document most specifically relating to the matter in question shall prevail. If the inconsistency cannot be resolved by specificity, the Organiser’s written decision shall be final.
During registration, entry forms are complete only when all required information, documents, and payment have been received and accepted by the Organiser. Entry fees are non-refundable unless the Organiser states otherwise, and the Organiser may cancel or refuse an entry if information is false, payment is not made, or entry requirements are not met.
No refund will be made for voluntary withdrawal, Did Not Start (DNS), Did Not Finish (DNF), removal, or disqualification.
Running is not a risk-free sport, and each runner is responsible for their own health, condition, hydration, nutrition, medication, and safe participation. The Organiser may withdraw, stop, or disqualify any participant who is unfit or may pose a risk to themselves or others. The decision of the Organiser, including the Race Director or medical team is final.
All participants must follow the race rules, course markings, cut-off times, checkpoint procedures, mandatory gear requirements, and lawful instructions issued by the Organiser. The Organiser may withdraw, disqualify or penalise any person who breaches the rules, behaves dangerously, cheats, takes shortcuts, ignores safety instructions, or uses another person’s bib or timing device. A participant who withdraws themselves must inform the Organiser or nearest checkpoint as soon as possible.A withdrawn, disqualified or penalised participant is not entitled to a refund.
Participants must follow all race instructions, safety directions, and course markings at all times. The Organiser’s decision on safety matters, including course changes, cut-offs, or withdrawal of a runner, is final.
Official results are provisional until the results period ends without a valid written protest. Protests must be submitted in writing to the Organiser within 24 hours of the cut-off time of the relevant race.
The Organiser’s decision on results and protests is final. The Organiser is not liable for timing errors due to conditions beyond reasonable control, and corrected official results replace all provisional results.
All prizes and awards are subject to the event rules and the results determined by the Organiser. The Organiser reserves the right to alter, cancel, or reallocate awards without prior notice, and all prize and award decisions are final. Any unclaimed prizes and awards may be forfeited.
If the event is registered for ranking or points scoring purposes, and results submission may be used for event listing, participant profile linkage, and ranking calculations. Participants are responsible for ensuring their registration details match their official race details so results can be correctly processed. Result processing may require the organiser to share participant and race data with the relevant ranking or event platform.
The Organiser may delay, modify, suspend, shorten, reroute, postpone, or cancel the event for safety or other legitimate reasons, including heavy rain, thunderstorm, haze, flood, disaster, public rally, authority direction, or venue restriction. If the event is cancelled or changed for reasons beyond the Organiser’s control, no refund will be made unless the Organiser states otherwise.
The Organiser and its agents are not responsible for parking arrangements at the event venue. The Organiser and its agents are not responsible for loss, theft, break-in, vandalism, damage, or misplacement of any vehicle, bag, drop bag, valuables, or other personal belongings left at the venue, in a vehicle, or in the Organiser’s care. The Organiser will notify participants of the purposes for which personal data is collected, used, or disclosed, and will only use personal data for those purposes. Personal data may be shared with contractors, volunteers, staff, crew, officials, service providers, authorities, and other event personnel where needed, and the Organiser will take reasonable steps to protect any overseas data transfers. Participants may request access or correction, or withdraw consent for non-essential uses, by contacting the Organiser.

From time to time, The Organiser may also send promotional messages and future event offers. Participants may withdraw consent to receive direct marketing communications by unsubscribe method provided, or by contacting the Organiser, but this will not affect essential operational communications relating to the event.
